Services etc Lay-Aside We offer a 6 week lay-aside service. This means that you are able to spread the cost of your yarn over a 6 week period, you only need to take the amount of yarn you need to complete your project (as we are unable to take returns of yarn), you may be unsure as to whether or not you will like the yarn, so by taking a ball to try and laying the rest aside means that if you don't like it you haven't wasted money as the yarn can go back out on sale.

Special Orders Whilst we do stock a large proportion of the Sirdar range, and also other yarns from Hayfield, Stylecraft, West Yorkshire Spinners and James C Brett, there may still be yarns that you require that we don't stock. For these, we can order full packs for you. Our terms for these orders are: that you complete an order form agreeing to buy the complete order when it comes in; that you pay a 50% non- refundable deposit for the yarn, this means that should you not come in to collect the order we aren't left with yarn that we can't normally sell as we can offer it at a discount; for yarns that we don't stock, we charge 90% of the rrp, so for instance a pack of yarn that would normally cost £20 would only cost you £18.

Knitting Service We do offer a knitting service, based on the knitting up 50g balls of yarn, with an additional sewing up charge. Yarn must be purchased through the shop however you can provide your own pattern. Any orders required before Christmas must be made by 30th September. Please ask for details.

Knitting Group We hold a Knit and Natter Group every Monday morniing from 10.m to 12noon (excluding Bank Holidays). This is free of charge.

Returns Due to EU Regulations and the Weights & Measures Act, we cannot accept any returns of yarns / fabrics / threads / kits, unless faulty, as we do not have the facility to check/ de-bug / reball yarns in order to resell them. Please ensure that you have the correct colour / yarn before leaving the shop. For distance selling returns please see CANCELLATION POLICY & RETURNS PROCEDURE in Terms and Conditions. For all other goods (except patterns / books), returns may be accepted if the product is unopened, with a proof of purchase, in exchange for a credit note within 7 days of the original purchase date. Any faulty goods must be returned with a proof of purchase. Due to incidences of photocopying, the return of patterns and books is not permitted.

Lessons We regularly advertise our very popular Beginner’s Crochet Lessons and also Intermdediate and Advanced Crochet and Beginners Knitting. Available days/times are Tuesday and Friday from 10.30 to 11.30 or 12noon to 1pm for 4 weeks, Saturday 11am to 1.30pm for 2 weeks. Courses cost £30 and are payable in advance.
